Time Series Data Generator & Visualisation Tool With AI Optimisation

I want to build this project and when I first looked at it, it seemed simple in terms of creating synthetic data but I am really struggling on how to time ties into sythetic data generation and I genuinely barely understand time series.

Please does anyone have an idea or even better, has anyone worked on this type of project before?

as far as i undrestand, all you need is a linear regression model that will find the relationship between randomly generated data

but it would not make a lot of sense since data is randomly generated
