i've been making a jokerforge mod and this is one of the ideas i like the most so i thought i would share it
I think it’s cool but should lowkey be the inverse; it should destroy the highest rank card because a hitman takes down high value targets
May be weaker than trading card though tbh
interesting but that does make it have a more niche use case
i was worried about this especially since i believe trading card is uncommon (correct me if im wrong) so this is also harder to roll as a rare
i was thinking buffing it to killing off 2 cards but that might be too good
well the first change you could do is not have the $8 penalty
hitmen are often expensive so that's where that idea came from
though i find it does serve an actual purpose for balancing since there's very minimal effort into having this joker so i figured there should be some sort of downside
i think it'd be more fair if it was like 6 maybe but im not entirely sure so i kept 8 and just sent it

yeah i'm not gonna lie, the -$8 makes this pretty undesirable compared to something like trading card
i mean, trading card can have a nearly identical effect to this but instead, paying you out $3 every blind rather than being an effective -$2.6 every blind
which is also made worse by the fact this is rare and not an uncommon like trading card
the cost could just be removed altogether i feel, or perhaps instead it would have a buy and sell value of $1, similar to credit card?
that way it's more like you pay for the card removal instead of both the rare joker AND the card removal
but even then i'd lower the money loss
still like the idea though
Theme would be better if this only killed face cards.
but murder card probably won't make it into a real set.
