(actually my real account is @bold otter , I am usually a Linux user but I switch to Windows for Balatro, as I keep my games on Windows then usual desktop stuff on Linux. If @bold otter were to comment on this thread about something, just know it is my main)
Eris is in very early development. As I write this post I have only declared my mod to Lovely - I am working on the mod's logo and basic required graphics and texts. Please expect drastic, and I seriously mean drastic, balance changes, joker modifications, sprite changes and sound changes. The difference between "dev version 1 a" and "dev version 1 b", for example, may be so drastic the mod's old and new versions are intelligible.
Here, in this main post, I will try my best to describe Eris and any questions you may have about this.
Firstly, why "Eris"? Why did I choose that name over any other?
Eris is the Flush Five Planet card, as you (hopefully) know. I decided on this name as the secret planets, X, Ceres and Eris, were personally my favourite consumables to unlock, as I had to play my cards right (pun intended) in order to unlock them. I decided to name it that way after mods like Cryptid and Incantation.
Secondly, what things are to be expected from this mod?
I coded this mod with many large mods in mind - and tested/will test with these mods installed and active. On the GitHub code link to my repo coming up soon in this post, I detail some which I recommend be installed/enabled - I did not test/won't test my mod with these enabled all of the time unlike the other mods.
This means many gimmicks of other mods and jokers that do specific things won't be plainly regurgitated - I won't be adding certain things like a 5 stone card hand as this is a "Bulwark" in Cryptid.
This does not mean the mod cannot be played without these mods but just know the intended experience is with these mods.
