psa: there are multiple ways a card can be modified. each group can only hold one type
- enhancements: generally caused by tarot cards. includes bonus, mult, lucky, glass, steel, gold, stone, wild. trying to reenhance an enhanced card replaces the enhancement. only works on playing cards. this one is most commonly misspelled—it should be enhance, not enchant.
- seals: generally caused by spectral cards. includes red seal, gold seal, blue seal, and purple seal. trying to apply another seal to a sealed card replaces the seal. only works on playing cards.
- editions: includes foil, holographic, polychrome, and negative. trying to apply an edition to a card with an edition fails. while any type of card can have an edition, playing cards can't be negative, and consumables can only be negative.
