You are given a skill point after beating each blind. Skill points can be spent leveling up your skills which will grant you advantages based on x in y checks, skills are leveled up on the view deck screen

All skills start at lvl 0 and have a lvl cap of 5

In theory (not going to go so far into the concept for now as I'm only writing this to procrastinate studying) holding certain jokers can give a boost to specific skills

INTELLECT : Skills related to gaining information
Logic - [lvl] in 5 chance to flip cards that have been drawn face down

Encyclopedia - Each upcoming card to be drawn has a [lvl] in 5 chance to be revealed, max amount of cards revealed capped at [lvl]x2

Rhetoric - Each booster pack in the shop has a [lvl] in 5 chance to reveal it's contents when hovered over

Drama - After beating each round, [lvl] in 5 chance to reveal the next [lvl] boss blind/s

Conceptualization - [lvl] in 5 chance to reveal the contents of the rerolled shop when hovering over the reroll button

Visual Calculus - At start of round, [lvl] in 5 chance to reveal the [lvl]x2 cards at the bottom of your deck

PSYCHE : Skills related to playing cards, being able to play cards and obtaining stuff easier
Volition - After playing a hand, [lvl] in 10 chance to gain +1 hand for the round, this effect can trigger [lvl] times in a round

Inland Empire - After playing a hand, [lvl] in 10 chance to gain +1 handsize for the round

Empathy - After playing a hand, [lvl] in 5 chance to score unscored cards

Authority - After drawing a debuffed card, [lvl] in 5 chance to remove debuff, additionally, if played hand would not score, [lvl] in 5 chance for it to score

Esprit de Cirque - After exiting shop, [lvl] in 5 chance to create a random common joker (must have space)

Suggestion - After entering shop or rerolling, [lvl] in 10 chance to make a random item in it free

PHYSIQUE - Skills related to getting rid of, destroying and replacing things or forcing things to happen
Endurance - When 0 discards left, [lvl] in 5 chance to gain +1 discard for the round, this effect can trigger [lvl] times in a round

Pain Threshold - [lvl] in 10 chance to prevent death, can only trigger once per ante

Physical Instrument - When entering a boss blind, [lvl] in 5 chance to disable boss blind effect

Electro-chemistry - When using a consumable, [lvl] in 10 chance to destroy a drawn card without an enhancement

Shivers - When destroying a card, [lvl] in 5 chance to draw 2 cards from deck for each card destroyed

Half Light - For each discarded card, [lvl] in 10 chance to destroy discarded card

MOTORICS - Skills that happen automatically and eventually, end of round triggers, on-scoring effects and on-drawing effects
Hand/Eye Coordination - For each card drawn, [lvl] in 10 chance to gain $1

Perception - For each card drawn in a booster pack, [lvl] in 15 chance to create an extra consumable to choose from

Reaction Speed - For each held in hand effect triggered, [lvl] in 5 chance to retrigger it once

Savoir Faire - When 1 hand remaining, [lvl] in 5 chance to apply x3 mult and play a random 5 card hand with drawn cards

Interfacing - When applying an enhancement, [lvl] in 10 chance to also apply enhancement to an adjacent card

Composure - When 1 hand remaining, [lvl] in 5 chance to draw [handsize]x2 cards to hand
