Actually, Ancient Joker is broken af, maybe make it only affect common and uncommon?
I like the concept, but, value X3 is op

For every +Mult it will result as less then X3 Mult and for +Chips it will provide some XTotal Chips value, but not more then X3 in total. While its almost X9, it require you to have both +Chips adjective and +Mult adjectives Joker, so X9 score for at least 3 Joker slots is not that big

would green joker scale triple? descale triple? current value triple?
its weird cuz if its ALL values then the "joker value multiplier" is squared on scaling jokers

like if the value multiplier is 3 like in this post, and we are using green joker, when it increases, it would increase by +3, but since the current value itself is also 3x'd, it would give out 9

by adding an entire new ambigious game mechanic to a joker, you gotta explain it's rules and then it becomes mucho texto
unless we do it like slay the spire with its keywords and there is a box seperate of the joker desc and next to it explaining the mechanic

Adjective is quite understandable thing, apart from other languages problem
maybe yah but the language issue is still a big one
two options
it uses the values of english, or it changes per language
if it uses the english naming always, it will be extremely confusing to people of other languages wondering why all the values are off, and would force people to switch to and translate from english to know what they are meant to be getting
if it changes depending on the language it creates an issue where certain languages are weaker than other and certain people would have harder time using it because of their language, also creates an issue where there would be a "Most Effecient Language" to play on with this joker which also just sucks for most people trying to optimize and losing the ability to read
Actually, is “other language” problem exist because other languages use entirely different systems for words, or because some translations may be not-100% accurate? If second, i dont think its Joker problem

Maybe pull a fluxx and say all numerical values on a joker are doubled. Only applies to numbers such as 2, not numbers such as two.
That solves the ambiguity problem, but it's very much cryptid territory.
And the code you'd need to write for it would touch pretty much all other code in the game.
There is the potential of treating it like 2 blueprints though, no? If we’re touching numerical values, it should be able to be treated as 2 more triggers unless there’s an interaction I haven’t considered

Reviewing the text of the jokers, (in english) there are some jokers which benefit a lot from this but lose a good playing around condition, such as half joker: (+40 mult if played hand contains 6 or fewer cards), and there are some jokers which become extremely strong, such as Joker Stencil: (x2 Mult for each empty Joker slot), and there are some that just become completely useless, such as four fingers (All Flushes and Straights can be made with 8 cards), and some that are completely not effected at all, like raised fist: (Adds double the rank of the lowest ranked card held in hand to Mult).
oh, right, and some of the jokers complete change their character, 8 ball becomes useless (because it needs to trigger 16 cards), but hack becomes a lot more applicable to even steven (retrigger each played 4, 6, 8, or 10), and Fib gives +16 mult on played Ace, 4, 6, 10, or 16. No clue how DNA will work (If first hand of the round has only 2 card, add a permanent copy to deck and draw it to hand)
Is “Half” in “Half Joker” and “Stencil” adjectives?
