hi! Sorry to be a bother but I had a game question incase anyone else has had the same issue. I have about 60+ hours in the game so far, and Ive beaten lots of stakes with the various decks. All of a sudden last night when I opened the game, it is not showing ANY stake for any deck as beaten. I still have all of my "collection" tab correctly, but its just like all my wins got erased. Is this a known issue? Or is there any way to fix it?
I have tried creating a new profile, switching back and forth between profiles, and reloading the game of course.

@glad cipher I don't know what happened exactly, but if you want to fix it, then you should locate your profile.jkr file (if you're running windows, this is under AppData/Roaming/Balatro/1/ under your user directory, AppData is a hidden folder).

profile.jkr is compressed using deflate, you can use 7-zip to decompress it. The contents should be a lua script that simply returns a dict which has your user data in it. You can edit this with any text editor, and then save and recompress the data.

Odd question but Im assuming there's no way to just reverse it? Or restore an old version? I dont remember exactly how many stakes I've beaten with each deck.

@glad cipher only if you have old versions of these files, or the files have the data within them but just in the wrong location.

Essentially, the save file format is just a Lua script that is run and returns a data structure. If the data is in the structure but at the wrong location within the structure, then Balatro won't know where to look for it. So you could just move it to the right spot. I doubt that it would have it, but it might be possible. So your best bet would be to have a backup.

i restored my stake history but not all of my jokers with gold sticker restore neither my challenges 🙁
