I buffed it a little. How's this?

Maybe could have it increase on scored cards
So you can use hands as discards to find 4-5 card hands which scale it faster
Maybe potential for retrigger and splash synergy
I dont like this because it rewards lobotomy exclusively
Do something like:
each scored card gives 0.01x mult. Resets when discard used
That doesnt change it rewarding exclusively lobotomy

I mean it’s per card played
and you don’t often start with a Flush / Straight
Per card played, not per card scored.
You can almost always play 5 cards, you can only score more cards by using Splash/Stone or playing higher hands
as scored would be fine if it didnt reset on discards, i.e '+0.05x for every card scored'
would make a very good joker i think, design and balance wise. rewards playing higher hands

Can be, but it doesnt reward lobotomy more than higher hands
youre rewarded for scoring more cards, which means higher poker hands, or splash or stones but those are very niche
The scaling i think on 5 card spam(easy with deckfixing) would be one of the fastest in the game i think
Especially with low requirements and everything
once you’ve done a tiny bit of deckfixing/gotten splash it is purely lobotomy
play 5 cards, play 5 cards, play 5 cards

its not "purely lobotomy" at all because it rewards scoring more cards, lobotomy is pair/hc primarily which score 1 or 2 cards at base, and having a specific joker synergy seems fine (splash)

one specific deck being very good with it doesnt make it unbalanced overall

I think its fine, the values could be tweaked if need be but the design itself is good.
A lot of HC/pair scaling comes from jokers so xmult that scales that fast is bloody insane
You can play two pairs to insane effect if 5 cards are supposedly too hard
This can easily hit 3x the scaling of madness for for less of a downside
0.1x per hand or 0.05x per hand is something that can just be tweaked by numbers to prevent it being a lobotomy joker still
but i dont see this as a problem

I mean it’s fine I guess; I just think it won’t serve the intended purpose
Things like straights often play a HC or pair as a sudo discard
Then one shot with the main hand
