+2 hand size if you played a straight during the previous blind (with an active/inactive indicator beneath the text)
(I'm picturing a figure dressed in clown attire with arms outstretched on either side 1 hand on each side to hold balance, or an extra card in our case)
Could be too similar to troubador, could be an alternative to troubador, could be a nice option for some redundancy for hand size jokers for straight builds. Thoughts?

Hell, maybe for variety's sake you could make it a rare and make it give +3 hand size and change the artwork to show the clown balancing 3 objects, one on each hand and one on the head. +3 seems like it could be too strong but who knows

A little too good, no good way to balance it, i cannot rate this until another option appears

honestly kinda rocks IMO, main drawback of giant hand size currently is high card/pair + mime + stm/baron + gold/steel

Having straights be a requirement kind of sidesteps this so you get 5 cards in hand while scoring with it.

That being said, it's a little too good when combined with hand size buffs. Consider this + troubadour + juggler + palette and god forbid the painted deck. That bumps the highest possible hand size without duplication to 8+1+2+2+2 (+2) = 15 (17 on painted), meaning you draw a good third of your deck just for fun. Even though the combo is highly unlikely to happen, you can still see here i'm going with this.

Another possibility is engineering a high card build while playing straights, and that could be a fun minigame, if it's ever too good it can simply be nerfed by requiring straight be the winning hand.

I'm not convinced that your "worst case" with every hand size modifier is so catastrophic that we need to balance around it. It's very unlikely and a lot of joker slots dedicated, you'd still need a lot of tarot cards to make gold/steel to make the hand size worth anyway. Also considering the fact that you forgot the bean and can thus already have a hand size of 15, I'm not convinced that the possibility of getting every hand increasing effect is high enough to automatically rule out more jokers that give a bigger hand size (especially if this one forces a straight to be played at some point every blind)
