I made this for personal usage so don't expect any updates or anything, but figured I would share in case people were interested

Only tested on Steam Deck so you're milage may vary

Update only works on Mods that you git clone, not on .zip folders you've extracted

This should work on Mac now too

The tool is now written in Python and should work on Windows, Mac, and Linux now

  • Requires Python
  • Requires git (for updating mods)

LMN Tool - A lightweight mod manager

I've added the ability to browse and install mods via the balatro-mod-index

It creates a clone of the entire mod index and then checks it for updates whenever you click M to browse for new mods

You should see about the photon mod index

#

It seems quite well thought out

So my tool can search for mods on the balatro-mod-index, but it doesn't download them as zips, it clones the repository, and when you update mods, it checks for updates on all clones repositories, meaning it updates ones you manually clone, so it works with all mods regardless of whether they are on an index or not

Cloning repositories will lead to getting dev versions, we recommend all mods use releases as playable builds for people to use

Yeah that's understandable, but for most of the mods I use, it's always the dev versions that are used (with the exception of smods)

You can define mods that should be skipped when updating

Either way this was a tool I made for personal use but as it was very useful for me I figured I'd share it

And majority of mods on BMM for example download from the latest code anyway so no difference in those cases
