#Balancing Act

I mean technically it is but I feel like this is reasonable within the design and balanced
so its a free 3x mult
got it
wait
nvm its not free
it sound weird tho
very meta of an effect and idk how to feel about it
its multiple effects but also i really do not know how to feel about a joker thats basically refrencing pure game mechanics
either way im uhh on it since 2.5x for free on any flat mult joker you use or 3x if its something like fib is a bit much
Wdym by referencing pure game mechanics?
this is based on the flat mult xmult scoring order for its effect and that feels too meta for me idk
i also dont like how free the effect is since lets be honest most of the time your meaningful flat mult doesnt come from 3 jokers but 1
I dont see many situations at all where this wouldn’t just be used for 3x mult
Just checked and if im not mistaken using it for 3x mult is optimal with 25 or more base mult
And with 4 other jokers its quite likely you reach over that amount anyway
This also is so much more consistent compared to other uncommon 3X mults
hell even a free 2.5x with a green joker js good
really good
remember that even 2x jokers have much higher requirements than exist
I just realised this joker is better than multiple rare x mult jokers lol
Duo trio tribe and order
blackboard has competition for the joker most similar to cavendish now
Would be more interesting if the sides were reversed imo
That way you need to strategize a bit
then itd just conform with the flat mult xmult order so itd be boring
Brainstorm?
Currently it does that
currently its opposite
Nuh uh
for max value it has to be leftmost for xmult and rightmost for mult
its stupid op either way since this but yeah
Bro…
Each joker to the left of it gives 0.5x mult
No?
Rn you want it to be rightmost
So at the end
Do you think there's any way to change it without getting rid of the core mechanic?
You could make it:
Uncommon 6$
+15 chips per joker to the left of this joker
+0.5 xmult per joker to the right of this joker (minimum 1 xmult and 12 chips)
Wouldn't .5 xmult force you to have at least one joker to the right of it?
.5 xmult minimum I mean
True, changed
Nah lowkey I think that'd fix it.
