all these glass cant break suggestions are valuing glass as so strong it needs a joker to fix its issue but the effect of glass not breaking wouldnt work as a joker effect
way too niche when glass is usually a resource you have to use carefully
Yes, but you also lose the Steel in hand effect and other modifier space in hand, total scoring effect is not that big
i wouldnt take a joker that just reads glass cant break
thats a really weak effect as is and also boring
glass joker and canio is way more interesting of a way to utilise glass for a joker than just remove the downside
(which sometimes isnt a downside because deckfixing)
The point is that you switch from downside of chance of being destroyed to downside of lower score (basicly you get X1.5 mult less + lose other potential modifier)
So you can:
- Not play steel card if you dont want to
- Play it if you have overscore, so you can save your glass for later
still not exciting or engaging in any way
again i talked about this
id rather a joker utilize the downside for a benefit than remove it
furthermore, this joker would only appear if you have glass AND steel in deck
and then you'd have to find the joker still
and then you'd have to draw the hand with both of those cards as well
it's a lot of "if"s to make this joker actually useful. And then it only protects glass and does nothing more
also the runs that do steel and glass together dont exist tbh
steel and glass reward opposite hand types
they can work together but in low hand spam with steel glass is used as emergency not exactly as something youd mind if it broke
ok real talk i dont get why prople stress over glass so much
or it breaking specifically
its an emergency tool if you have few and disposable if you have multiple
I never lost a game thinking "if only that glass didn't break"
