Origin: Rigoletto is an opera by Giuseppe Verdi.
Rigoletto's name comes from the French word rigoler, "giggle"
Yorick and Canio are also legendaries that originate from plays and scriptures.

Rigoletto is the name of the Duke's jester
And yes I read the entire play before writing this!

I feel like this is just significantly worse than Canio and perhaps even an instant sell in some cases

#

You have the extra step of having to play the card, and since you can't turn this off, your deck quickly becomes useless

#

The origin is fun though, so I don't want to give up on the idea

#

What is the inspiration exactly? (Like what does Rigoletto do in the play)

I wonder if the debuff could be substituted for face-down cards somehow

Could be cool actually

That could work

Ok, but you should include the old revision as well for archival purposes

#

I think this is an improvement, but I feel like there's even more potential

eh I dunno solely because it feels like big Canio overlap

What about this?
Played cards are flipped after being scored
Played face-down cards give X2 Mult
