This bug is consistent. If you hold the R key, and time it correctly so that when you enter the blind and the cards are piling into your hand, before they can fill all 8 slots have the game reset and start a new run. For every run after this one your hand size will be X/8 until you reset the game. X being the amount of cards that were piled into your hand before resetting.

The only reasoning I came up with is that the hook had smth to do with the "2 cards". But seeing this just throws that out of the window lol
The only things I see that are the same are that this bug always affects the player from the start. And that it happens to be on gold stake

It could just be a new issue with mods
It feels unlikely its a base game glitch if 2 people got it like a day apart and I havent seen it reported before in the past 1 3/4 years of the games lifespan

i only got lovely and smods installed no other mods and its also happenin to me so idk if its caus of mods unless its somehow one of those two

It could very well because of an update from one of those 2 causing the problem
