concept is cute, but seems like it would be boring, since every mitosis run would be the same.

"...if you have exactly one mitosis, create a copy of this joker at the end of round"

this is wordy, but would go a long way towards making mitosis runs interesting since you still have to fill out the rest of the joker slots

you could feed them to dagger, or sell them for cash. rewards you for being strong enough to only need 4 jokers

my version also makes a copy, which is better thematically, and rewards you for getting an edition on it.

2^6 is 64

so on a black deck run with a negative mitosis you get 128x

this actually reminds me a lot of a ror2 item called egocentrism

its very strong but very boring

its boring cuz it removes random items every stage and converts them to egocentrism

it's also the option to be 2x for two slots plus a value generator, if you're selling or eating the copy.
This modal option is the interesting part to me.

This mechanics of this suggestion are really cute, and match the theme very well.

But you're completely right that is not in line with it's established design principles.

Condition of "contains two pair" fits the theme, but now it's even more wordy.

It's probably beyond saving as a legitimate balanced design, but it's still a creative theme that make me chuckle
