Cards in your deck are a probability instead of a number.
You have infinite cards in your deck.
Destroying a card will have the following effects
Numerator - 1 for destroyed card
Denominator - 1 for all cards
Adding/duplicating a card will have these effects:
Numerator + 1 for added card
Denominator + 1 for all cards

Note: Cards with different seals, enhancements, editions will have their own seperate probability
Probability of each card at the start of run is 1 in 52

How does this work with chips scaling on cards with hiker?

the real question is how is this not too complex to put on the deck selection screen

#

you cant explain this in one sentence like plasmas effect

plain needle
#

Uhh prolly maybe the 1st line is enough?

#

Plasma doesnt go into similar detail like score = ((chips + mult)/2)^2

plain needle
#

And adding enhancements / editions / seals when multiple of a similar type of card exist can be treated as numerator - 1 for previous card, 1/total probabilities for new card

#

More importantly how does blue joker work with this

#

Its a very modded idea but I kind of like it

plain needle
#

Maybe chips = denominator

#

+2 would feel too good because then chips = 2 *denominator for all hands

sweet lynx
#

???

plain needle
#

A better way to put this is:

#

Its a normal deck, but when cards are drawn, they do not get over, you can draw them again and again

#

So, deck size can still change

#

And mathematically, the deck size = denominator

#

(Also is it possible to change the tag to mechanics since everyone is telling me to do it?)

#

theres an easier way to do this

gear reaction means feels too modded

pine charm

cards are returned to deck after play or discard

As a loop or reshuffle?

So if I interpret this right, adding one Ace of Spades to my deck means that I have a 2 in 53 chance to conjure an Ace of Spades as opposed to a 1 in 52 chance?

sweet lynx
#

I mean the thing the selling point is drawing the same card despite having only 1 copy

And if I discard 5 cards, there's a (2 in 53) ^ 5 chance I draw 5 Aces of Spades?

# plain needle Yes

well then what's stopping you from getting a red seal polychrome steel king to be the only card in the deck and then removing everything else, thereby duplicating that one card an infinite number of times.

calm canyon
#

I get it now

plain needle
steady goblet
#

its easier to describe this like exchanging your limited deck for a pool of cards you can draw infinite of

plain needle
#

Its more of a deckfixing helper deck, like a brother to abandoned deck

calm canyon
#

Only change I would make is preventing the numerator from going to 0, but other than that this would be a fascinating deck to try

plain needle
#

If im being honest, i could easily write it simpler, but writing it mathematically makes people confused and attracts attention to the idea

clear sundial
#

even more so to just reshuffle played cards. it seemslike that has the same result with less complex math

plain needle

steady goblet
#

cards drawn are reshuffled into the deck would be fine enough way to write this i think?

#

that way you dont remove the interesting aspect of redrawing the same card multiple times

plain needle
# clear sundial explain?

You have one ace of spade in hand, no matter how much u discard, you cant get two so long as you have only one in deck, however, in my scenario, you can draw 5 ace of spades while having only one "copy"

Yeah

calm canyon
#

Perfect to write on the tin, but the probability math can stay "behind the curtain", so to speak

clear sundial
#

this actually gives me a very good idea

spiral moth
#

I honestly want to try modding this in but it'd probably be a pain

#

Sounds cool (though technically a repost, it's from so long ago so)

then you can't deckfix because they're just copies

How about "Whenever a card is drawn to your hand, add a copy to your deck until end of round"

sweet lynx
shell leaf
#

what about "Drawn cards are not removed from deck"

plain needle
#

Honestly, unfortunately, this idea definitely won't get added, since it requires a lot of extra coding, and it probably doesnt stand out much from the other suggestions

sweet lynx
#

Thunk has said so

plain needle
#

Bruh then why we all struggling?💀💀

sweet lynx
#

Also you could get it into a mod

#

But mostly because its fun
