I like the new idea, and think it fits better in theme than the current one(especially since it no longer messes with interest). However, I think there should be some way of turning it temporarily off without selling it. As is, in order to buy anything at the shop, you will need to use credit card at least once. This is a bit rough, and makes it really hard to get out of a hole, effectively forcing you to play with 4 jokers.
