Rare joker
Lose all discards upon entering blind
Draw 4 cards to hand for every discard lost

This joker doesn’t affect handsize but just allows you draw more to start

Burglar+

mortal gale
#

Your compensated with options instead of hands

lethal wharf
#

Lemme rephrase

#

It's a better Burglar

mortal gale
#

Is it

lethal wharf
#

Oh god yeah

mortal gale
lilac silo
#

Not really

mortal gale
#

can I get an explanation

late perch
#

ok so like

#

burglar

#

hand

#

5 card

#

this

#

3 card

#

Nailed it.

lethal wharf
#

Yeah but hand size

thorny bramble
#

isn't it +3 handsize that's only effective for the first hand

#

or +6 actually

mortal gale
thorny bramble
#

probably isn't helpful enough outside of baron or midas

weak raptor
#

This is interesting

weak raptor
thorny bramble
#

you draw 1-2 less cards for each discard though

mortal gale
#

Or 4

thorny bramble
#

4 is probably a lot

#

this is one of those things where you can't tell hoe powerful it is

round star
#

Its just like the serpent If you spend your all discards 1 card at a time

gleaming spruce
#

yea which makes it bad for bigger hands

#

i probably only take this if i have a ton of gold and im already winning

spice hound
drifting knot
#

Keep in mind that if this gives +6, you don't draw after your first hand played since you'll be above max cards still

#

This is hard to apply outside of "Held in Hand"

round star
#

I know this is optimal for small hands, but i dont see how this is bad for big hands

Doesnt having more cards available make it easier for you to play big hands? Or atleast Guide you towards them?

spice hound
#

it's good if you just wanna play one big hand and win the round

round star
#

So its good for big hands, and better for small hands - and everyone still agrees its a bad idea?

gleaming spruce
#

like your 4oak rank

round star
#

a specific big hand, yes. any big hand, no
what i mean is, at the start/ middle of a run your deck isnt trimmed for a single hand, but at that time any big hand works usually

#

for ante 8 beating i believe it would be enough
but theres the gambit drawback of course, making it flavorful and interesting

#

im just frustrated its become the norm here to simply not think about a suggestion before saying it "has no legs" the same way you expect the AP to have thought about every singe nitpick possible

weak raptor
#

mm

#

well, it depends

#

nah

#

it should draw 4-5 cards to hand per discard lost

#

then i like it

quaint plaza
#

This seems insanely op for high card runs

mortal gale
gleaming spruce
#

cause with hc you can always discard 5 so how does this help

quaint plaza
#

See the vision

gleaming spruce
#

if u talking high score you gotta lock in

quaint plaza
#

Now imagine all of those are steel cards
