I purchased this game and then installed it on a Samsung Galaxy A55 running Android 14. Some time later, I uninstalled it, but when I tried to reinstall it on Android 16, it wouldn't work due to incompatibilities. It was strange and disappointing, considering I'd already purchased it on the same device.

With the Samsung One UI 7 update, it broke Balatro on specifically A55 with introducing constant tearing and glitching/lagging of the screen. It's been half a year since and nothing was even remotely done for it, so instead of fixing it, they simply removed Balatro from the Play Store on A55, if you had it installed you can still play it (as I can), but with said glitching and tearing. Otherwise, you can't simply install/access Balatro on A55 anymore. Judging the next update that MIGHT potentially fix it has been delayed to an unspecified date in 2026 and this not even being mentioned by LocalThunk (although to be true, it's not him who makes the mobile version apparently, it's some other company and they are seemingly incompetent), I think it's safe to say this will not be resolved/fixed for at least another year. Maybe the new One UI 8 may fix it, but I've heard from people who already have it that it didn't fix anything. If you're in the EU, you can request a refund due to its laws and you will (or at least should, I didn't try it since I can still play) get a full refund even if you played it a ton if you state this reason, that the game is broken and was pulled from the Play Store without any notice as a result and you just can't access it anymore.

So now I know the problem. But sadly, I'm not in the EU. I'm in a country that doesn't have adequate legal protection for consumers like me. 😆
