its meant to give late game value to often mid-game cards like cloud-9, 6th sense, hack, and works with early game jokers like castle and scholar as well.
it doesn't do anything on its own but makes things like ancient joker more powerful & reliable

every joker here with set ranks for ita conditions doesnt work with the idea of rerolling those ranks

also this is just oops for 4 jokers its really not that interesting

nah it changes just the 1 joker and not all of them so it should be fine

i dont think a joker should mess with set joker ranks

lots of themes for joker effects use ranks very deliberately

this throws off that but also the fact that this is an effect that wouldnt even be good usually

the idea is that neither Fortunate Joker nor the cards it effects (except idol ig) are things u keep for the endgame in a run, so it's early-mid to mid-late balanced and helps set up

idk it just kinda feels like 80% of utility jokers are useless past mid game if you are focusing on deck fixing

even just rerolling a random picked rank from rebate and others would feel too small to be a whole joker
