JoJo's Balatro Adventure is a vanilla-like Balatro expansion mod inspired by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure! All its features originally debuted in Balatro: Cardsauce, but have been grouped into their own standalone content mod! All the content has also received updates, bugfixes, and other changes that will eventually be ported back to Cardsauce.

Wait you're friends with Newbie??????
uh yeah?
we've been friends since 2021 i think
how come
small world lmao
i used to frequent a little jojos server by the name of aeongalaxy
Oh yeah I know that one!!
i was quite big in the jjba community in general
but ive kinda drifted away from it overtime. ive only made a brief reappearance as of recent due to sbr's announcement + a good chunk of my irls loving jojos
but yeah, newbie and i go way back
how do you know him?
From the JoJo Fanworks server!!
The other mod I put up today is based around that server (and basically my child)
Yep yep we're friends
i havent spoken to him in a while but i consider him a friend too
I've read a bit of his fic, Sunshine Deluxe
fizzy, newbie and someone else called darko all took place in a tabletop campaign of mine a few years back
that same tabletop campaign is prolly the reason im good at art today: i locked the fuck in
good in personal standards really
thats a good one
hes locked in on that
1.0.1 Hotfix!
- Fixed a crash in D4C -Love Train- when calculating card eval return tables that lack the
playing_cardtable
[1.0.1] JoJo's Balatro Adventure!
[1.0.2] JoJo's Balatro Adventure!
1.0.2 Release
Nothing player facing this time, but really cool for developing. Previous versions will crash on current versions of Arrow, so make sure to keep these updated.
- Updated to use new procedural credits features added in ArrowAPI 1.0.3
1.0.3 Release
Simple version bump for parity with ArrowAPI 1.0.4
- Updated credits on Tusk
[1.0.3] JoJo's Balatro Adventure!
Now we wait for the VHS mod.
Although I can definitely see potential interest in it, I'm personally disinterested in RedLetterMedia content which the original VHS Tapes from Cardsauce were based on, so I'm not really the best person to take that initiative
The VHS tapes could be stuff like the OVA and the 2007 phantom blood ova.
Ooo that is a fun idea
THough I think it'd be incredibly funny if one of the jokers was a lua based snes emulator that plays the SFC Jojo game.
LMAO YEAH. I can't find any existing attempts at lua-based SNES emulators, though there is a fork of Snes9x that has some Lua function support. I'd probably need to reimplement the whole thing in Lua myself, which would be an extended project
Although if it has enough external Lua script support, I could potentially embed the original C++ code
Okay yeah looking at it, it might be totally possible
yooo snes emulator in balatro real?
I keep trying to play this mod but keep getting the same message
I downloaded both arrow it most up to date and the mode about, just don't know what doing wrong
You seem to not be downloading the correct releases for jojobal
Based on the version number, you're trying to use the dev code on main, whereas the most recent release code is in the 1.0 branch as well as the releases tab
@minor badge
Unless stated by the installation instructions, you should avoid downloading code directly from the repo and always download a release
Dev code is often experimental or has incomplete features
I am not understanding what doing wrong, I went downloaded exactly from the links you shared above, from the source code not the one above it
That's what you're doing wrong
You download the release zip, not the source code
The source code is generated automatically with each release and unfortunately github doesn't provide a way to disable doing so
The mistake here is that the 1.0.3 release is generating the source code from the main branch, which is incorrect, it should be generating it from the 1.0 branch, but even still you shouldn't download the source code vs the actual release code
Ok, so all this time being getting the source code, when reality I need the release code. Ok, how do I get, or what do I need to select
that one for both the arrow and this
Thank 7you very much it finally works!!!!
strangely enough i follow the text and i still have te problem
the
oh wait
arrow is crashing too
nvm got it lol
Oh yeah that is just an error resulting form changing one of the API tables between one of the more recent Arrow releases
However, I'll recommend that you'll probably encounter crashes due to using Talisman
I need to add it as an explicit conflict
yea i download the arrow version under your 1.0.3 link instead of goin all the way to the top and clicking that link and then going to the latest released and then i worked
i got everything working and yes talisman is crashing the game with the mod on but after i disabled talisman it worked and its such a cool mod 💯
I'd recommend Amulet!
@empty pewter
Ultimately Talisman compat is annoying to implement because of how it expects everything to conform to its coding standard. Amulet is a Talisman fork that allows it to be more drag-and-drop
Since there's not much reason to have Talisman over Amulet now, I just didn't bother with the former
it is so nice that talisman is finally being replaced
