Well, if it’s rare and worth 8 dollars then it seems balanced enough.
But yeah the joker description is very long.
They should be short and quick to understand
but like any number of consistent deaths is in my opinion is to powerful

That’s a whole different reason and 99% of players would take a joker that does this, too powerful of an effect as well for not having a downside
he has dialogue that talks about queen so maybe something with that

Tbh your initial joker idea at the start of the thread feels the most solid, it just needs some way to be nerfed to not make it feel too much like perkeo.
In playing cards, the joker is usually set aside. So if jevil is the joker maybe the balatro version could make destroying cards easier or it could scale with cards destroyed. Because it sets them free.
Maybe at the end of shop turns the left consumable into the right consumable
