#Fibonacci sequence.
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
In mathematics, the Fibonacci sequence is a sequence in which each element is the sum of the two elements that precede it. Numbers that are part of the Fibonacci sequence are known as Fibonacci numbers, commonly denoted Fn . Many writers begin the sequence with 0 and 1, although some authors start it from 1 and 1 and some (as did Fibonacci) fr...

You should make it like the
thread where you can't go more than once in the same sequence
idk how to do that :/
its 8 bro
It's just a written rule
Twice in a row =/= twice in the same sequence
nah thats less fun

IT STARTS WITH ONE
Well ehhh you can go back from 1 so ehhh
Arguably there isnt a start
start from -1
Pretty sure Fibb sequences start with 0 and 1
You can’t start with a single digit
But like isnt 0,1 arguably a arbitrary spot to start
This is true though
one thing, i dont know why
Okay quick history lession fibbonati the person started with 1, 1 but in modern times people start it with 0,1
I personally dont think it matters
But the negative values are cool
feels weird to start with 0 cuz if you add 0 to 0 in a fibonacci sequence it just goes on for infinity
regardless it’d be 0 1 1
You start with 0 and 1 because 0 + 1 is 1, then 1 + 1 =2
But the element behind 0 is 1
0 is the 0th term
seems very pointless
its the same thing either way
Yo mama pointless
good one
What - 1 then?
I mean what term is - 1
But thanks for the random fact
-1 is the -2nd term
Xth term is (X-1)th + (X-2)th term. So how do negatives work?
So the -3rd term is -2rd term + -1st term. 1 + -1 = 0
The -1st term is the -2nd + the -3rd
525229
But thats backwards, isn't it? Wouldn't it be -3rd term is the -2nd term + -1st term
No thats wrong because than it would loop back to the positives example of how it works 2,-1,1,0,1,1,2
-1 and 1 isum is 0 and that goes in that way
If you instead subtract the -1 from the one than ypu start headong on the negative direction
Ahh that's fair
There's only one sequence here tho
Maybe you can only talk after 10 numbers?
