  • Start with 8 joker slots
  • After every boss blind gain one random eternal joker (except legendary; if all joker slots are full one random joker will be deleted (if there are any non eternal jokers these will be deleted first))
  • After every boss blind change every edition, seal and enhancement (and any other stuff like that) to a random other one in it's category.

Without the last part this would be an easier Jokerless. With the last part, this sounds incredibly difficult.

#

The changes only occur to the playing cards? If your jokers have editions they aren't scrambled, right?

#

Also if you have negatives, will those be targeted for removal?

The idea being because you cannot count on having any particular set of jokers, you focus on alternatives for scoring: blue seals, glass cards, etc.

#

So the play style winds up being similar to, but easier than, Jokerless.

#

@hasty egret how about destroying and rerandomizing all eternal jokers as well, at the end of every ante?

I think you'd particularly build around the Jokers you got though

#

That said the lack of choice in Jokers is...ehhh

#

I'd prefer 5 slots, add an Eternal when an even Ante is beaten

Maybe not the best way to do it, but here's how I might rework it:

When an even Ante is cleared, open an unskippable Buffoon Pack containing two Eternal Jokers

#

er, that breaks in endless

"When Antes 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 are cleared"

Why

#

Ante 12 is still even

5 jokers slots

A lot of challenges add unique constraints similar to that so I think it’s fine?

Yeah I agree
