My Balatro account was reset to 0.

Same here - a few days ago I tried to play Balatro again after a while and found that my profile name had been reset to P1 and I lost all my stake progress:

Have tried uninstallling and reinstalling multiple times to no avail

Did you guys update to iOS 26?

Oh nvm, that’s not iOS. I was just thinking it could have something to do with that because iOS 26 came out like a day or two ago

This has happened to me twice. And, I'd just played the damn game 30 min ago. This really unmotivates me to continue playing, knowing that at anytime, for some unknown reason, all progress is lost.

Google requires login to play the game, so why isn't progress saved on the server's side? Or, is that the issue? Can anyone shed light on what's going on here?
