game won't start

I was in a game and went to the main menu now whenever i hit play i get this screen I've tried using advice given to others with a similar problem but nothing has worked

I've tried deleting the game and redownloading and I've tried to find save states in the files with no luck and I'm not continuing or starting a new run the screen pops up when I hit play so I can't choose either

without the game running: try disabling steam cloud saves for Balatro, then deleting save.jkr, then starting the game

you'll only lose the run you didn't finish, not your profile data

I turned off cloud saves but can't find save.jkr where is it?

i can't find that. these are the files i can see which of these would have the save file?

the save files are at a different location than the game executable

type Windows Key + R, this will open Windows Run, now type %appdata% en press enter. this will open Windows Explorer at the C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming folder. Now open the Balatro folder and the 1 (profile #1) folder. save.jkr should be there
