Long story short there was no interaction.
I'm playing on the PS5 version of Balatro and I had the Matador joker card which is supposed to award $8 per boss blind activation however during my run when faced against the tooth boss blind (which is -$1 per card played) it did not award me with the activations. I played a 5 card straight that 1 shot the round perhaps that is a factor that caused this bug but I am now out $35 and a foil joker I sold thinking I was going to make the biggest play ever.
