#Varying Rental Costs

i had a sort of random thought as i was going through runs, so i just wanted to put it out here

what if rental costs were based on joker rarity? because currently, rental jokers can be a big drain on economy early on, but it seems unbalanced in the way that rental common/uncommon jokers are more punishing to pick up with it due to the normal cost of them being instantly/almost instantly surpassed by their rental cost, which i think is outside the spirit of the sticker

as an example, a rental rare will cost you 10 money after 3 rounds, which is also say the same cost as a blueprint. however, common jokers will cost that same amount for normally much less value or potential (situationally)

with this idea, i was thinking that common jokers would cost $2 at the end of the round, uncommons would remain costing $3, and rares are bumped up to $4. this allows you to get short term value out of rental common rentals without it being as much of a huge detriment earlygame, while the rares (often blueprint/brainstorm, with a few others) are even more costly to pick up as rentals and would balance it out a little

the only thing about this is that it's like, definitely a bit of a nerf to the starting difficulty of gold stake runs

#

like for instance, maybe common jokers would cost 2, uncommon jokers would cost the normal 3, while rare jokers cost 4, both making rental commons slightly less costly to use while making rental rares more than normal

very interesting

i think it makes it a bit easy though

considering that rentals do show up quite a lot while playing gold stake, but not as often as where this is a huge issue
