#Straight Flush scaling buff?

Straight Flushes are (in my opinion) the hardest hand to consistently draw and play in Balatro, especially on the current (1.0.1) Blue Stake and above due to having -1 discards.

Perhaps Straight Flush's scoring could be buffed to reflect the deck-fixing and utility-based Jokers often needed to make playing the hand consistent?

Maybe something like the below:

Straight Flush Lvl. 1 increased:
100 chips 80 mult ➡️ 100 chips 10 mult

Neptune increased:
+40 chips +4 mult ➡️ +50 chips +5 mult

Tbh, Straight Flush isn't even weak anyway!
I just think it would be neat if it scaled faster due to how hard it can be to play into, and how Straight's scaling is only slightly slower despite being way easier to play :)

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a scenario where a straight flush doesnt score me enough

#

I don’t see much of a point

Yes I agree this is the hardest hand to make, but it is the biggest scaling planet (aside from flush five’s chips)

It’s just a pain in the ass to play consistently

#

That’s really it

#

My only successful straight flush run was this

#

Not a single x mult joker needed

not just "as good as Flush House and very slightly better than Flush Five", as those are two hand types that are significantly more consistent to play

# sonic magnet It already is, no?

not really powerful enough scaling to make me consider switching from a Straight build to a Straight Flush build halfway through a run, even though my deck and jokers would be great for it

#

frankly, i pretty much never see the opportunity to pivot a Straight build into a Straight Flush build like i see the opportunity to pivot a Flush build into a Flush House build

In other words, straight flush can be scaled as a backup plan if straights are not available

You can’t do this with FH with F5 until one hand is played
