I would argue that bending that logic is the spirit of the game, and changing what base value a card is is no different than adding value to it with modifiers like foil

You've been very unclear as to how this joker will even work. If every face card is the same rank, what does this mean?
Do they count as both their own rank and some new, unused rank that only functions for building hands? Do they count as both their own rank and also another specific rank already in the game (you suggested 10 before)? With Pareidolia, would this mean a 2 gives 10 chips, triggers Shoot the Moon if held in hand, but also scales Wee if played?
It almost seems like you're asking us to figure out the consequences of this Joker.
