#Fortune teller "rework"

The issue is that this joker scales even when it’s not with you. Meaning the reset will also occur when the player uses the previously used tarot when it’s not with them.
Not a fan of that tbh. I think the current fortune teller is perfectly fine
Strange but true: my last plasma deck gold stake win involved a highly scaled fortune teller
Ehhh I think fortune teller kinda sucks but this rework is too strong
Is it so bad it needs to be made twice as strong?
Could it use a small buff?
I don’t think it sucks. Maybe with the right jokers it could be something.
Like cartomancer and vagabond
I was thinking of only scaling when you're holding it
Kinda hard to buff if it if one extra additive mult per tarot is a
I think it’s too much effort compared to other common mult scalers like Bus, Green, Red Card, etc. It takes a really long time to match even Abstract in a gold stake run, and by then it’s too weak
I kinda figured
Maybe change the price of it to $3 or $4 instead of $6, this doesn’t feel like a $6 joker but that’s nitpicking
Fortune Teller is secretly worse than most other mult scalers cause it can be perishable, making it pointless
Huh, TIL other scaling jokers cannot be perishable
The thing is that this one doesn’t always start at +0 Mult when you take it
Throwback is met with the same fate
right, and I think that's unique on its own
Fortune Teller is fine for a common
Its downside, it scales naturally slower, leans into the upside of retroactiveness and making a decent pick at most times during a run
Especially since most people tend to prefer Tarots to Planets in the mid game (ante 3-6)
I think my main problem is as a common it doesn’t really function like one
You gotta take it in some midpoint in the game and have a strong tarot generator to make it usable
Most other commons work on their own pretty well, like it’s no t a bad thing we have an exception to it but it just feels a lil weak
just get a buncha purple seals
