#Necromancer (Uncommon)

Ooh this is interesting
I can't tell if it's balanced or not but I like the concept a lot
More experienced Jimbo Fan Club members could probably tell if this is balanced.
Yeah exactly
Yeah, I mean you have to get a specific Uncommon and another specific Uncommon
Exactly
I thought of this as being the Uncommon equivalent of the
/Cavendish relationship.
I like it a lot.
I mean the other spectral makers have a cost
And intentionally losing q blind is sorta a neat cost
And the name works very well
As it is just better cardomancer
Its a play on that
But also the undead like with Mr bones
That breaks the
/Cavendish but uncommon point
Also, Cavendish is common with a really good effect and it works fine. The fact that you need to get another joker and kill it before you are able to get this joker balances its powerful effect out.
What does
mean
High five
But high is 1 card
Without the Bones clause this is incredibly OP and with the bones clause this is near impossible to get.
Its a great concept but I don't think that it would work in the game
Yes but, it's between a rare and a legendary. Mr. Bones never appears so yes small chance for greatness. But unlike a legendary or even Cavendish, you can control it much more, of course you can't control that you get Mr. Bones. But once you get it you can control when you want to destroy it. So impossible but possible.
But you do have to get 2 Mr. Bones in 1 run
And you can't get multiple bones. Unless you have showmen
Why 2?
yeah why 2
Because of it works like Cavendish you have to spawn bones kill it, and then get another one
Because then this would spawn instead
At least 2
I feel like, unless the joker is legendary, a joker should be relatively easy to find. Cavendish works because its with two commons. The chance of finding two uncommons is way lower
What are the chances of common VS uncommon
I I think its something like 80% for commons and 15% for uncommons
And theres more uncommons than commons
Yea
That half of the rare chance
25%
0,390625%
Thats the probability of a specific uncommon joker spawning
Is it worth it for two or three free spectral card per ante?
So a really bad chance
Well, sure, but again. Free spectral cards for the rest of the run once you have it.
All you have to do is strategically lose a blind.
If it's something useful like Trance, Talisman, Aura, Cryptid, etc, good. If not, well, then, hey, free money from selling it.
No matter how you look at it, getting this joker is still worth it.
My math was right. I'm an idiot
So this is better than a legendary
Than 2 legendaries
I mean, the only real problem is in getting it.
I didn't want Necromancer to be legendary, though. I mean, unless I change the theming to like
Vecna or something (Vecna being an iconic D&D villain)
I just don't see it as being legendary.
It would also be the only legendary that
- Appears in the shop naturally
- Can't be gained from using the Soul card
And that just doesn't make any sense to me.
Good idea but the chance is too low
But I didn't say it should be a legendary, I said it was half the chance of a legendary. You said it was worth it. I said so it's equal or better than 2 legendaries
Well I said better
But equal works
@violet matrix are you asleep
There are other jokers like that, though. I mean, take Cavendish. Unconditional x3 mult. Slap on a
or two, and you've got more Xmult than you know what to do with. Even without
, Cavendish is still as good as a legendary.
A legendary that gives 3x is really bad
That's a rare
Like literally driver's license
I mean, I didn't want something that would just be Mr. Bones but it doesn't self-destruct, you know? And we don't have a spectral card printer like this yet.
Nah
Necromancer is too weak to be a legendary but too powerful to be a normal joker
So where does that put it, then?
Cavendish is a 1.7% chance
Well you did what I was gonna ask so.
Proposition: Mr. Bones is Uncommon, Necromancer is Common
That breaks the
/Cavendish but uncommon point
That feels pretty limiting though
You could just have this be a Rare Joker. This feels like a Rare
Cavendish and Cartomancer if they had a kid
And just like real life. It's dummy rare
