It has come to me that there aren't enough rank specific jokers and face cards get most of the glory. So here are some rank-specific jokers to build around (maybe). Ideas and feedback are appreciated!

[C] Collector's Box - +10 mult if there are no repeat ranks in hand.
[C] Compact Disc - 6 and 9 count as the same rank.
[C] Prism - 3s have a 1 in 4 chance to x2 mult when scored.
[C] Empty House - Create a Spectral card if poker hand contains a full house with no face cards. Self Destructs.
[U] Lucky Slots - Earn $10 if played hand contains 3 7s.
[U] Elemental Joker - Retrigger all played 4s if all 4s in your deck are enhanced cards.
[U] Facepalm - When Small Blind or Big Blind is selected, if there are 5s in hand, destroy them and +1 hand.
[R] To Infinity and Beyond - If played hand contains an 8, add one 8 of a random suit to your hand.
[R] The Universe - x4.2 mult if the rank sum of played hand equals to 42 (A=11, JQK=10)

Collector’s box deserves a buff for being such a hard condition to trigger in most circumstances.

Prism is interesting; might need playtesting but not sure if the RNG will make it unusable

Empty House could be an uncommon? 50/50 on that

Is the +1 hand for facepalm just for the round or permanent?

The universe may not be very feasible to proc in most cases to be a good rare I fear

Overall I like the concepts and theming! They’re very cool and it’s clear you put some good thought into them. Balancing can be ironed out but the ideas are nice :)

For Collector's Box I was envisioning simple high card/3oak plays, but I do agree to what you said that since jokers like Zany already gives +12mult to 3oak, this could be higher.

I just have the assumption that Prism could be somewhat balanced, with mult scaling and Hack/Oops 6s helping out as well. Though it might be weaker late-game, it could be a viable option (?)

Empty House seemed like a quick-use joker to me, I do like the idea of changing the rarity

Facepalm was difficult. I was going for just the round since permanent would be otherwise OP, but it also just seemed... iffy. Though I liked the idea of thinning the deck automatically (unlike other jokers that require a condition).

The Universe... if the hand somehow includes cards that aren't scoring, maybe there's a chance? I didn't have a solid idea to make it work and I'm aware that its capabilities are underwhelming...

Just wanted to say I appreciate your thoughtful feedback 😄
(Even if these won't be in the real game)

For compact disk, does this mean I can play a straight that contains a 9 using a 6? And vise versa?

We do have wild cards but no “wild rank” cards, not that I know of

But I was thinking self destructing after the conditions were met (playing a full house without face card), so not what you imagined.
