I don't know if campfire is good enough for this.
The problem is that after an ante you pretty weak or campfire isn't your source of mult.
- is that not the point of a challenge?

What if we nerfed it like all shop prices are 1.5x more expensive or smth like that

Get rid of one or both vouchers would prob be a better nerf
Why negative? There should be some downside for a challenge that just gives you an xmult joker...

It's like that one challenge with a negative parabolia and business card

That one also has no rewards for hands and no interest.
(and a smaller deck, but that's arguably an upside)
If both weren't negative, then you would lose 2 joker slots
That's pretty bad given that even though you have a x mult joker you still only have 3 spots left
Yes, what I'm suggesting is that this set up is almost all upside. It's easier than a regular white stake red deck run.
What about you start with 10 Hand size and for each card sold you lose a hand size and it resets every boss blind
That way there is a a slight disadvantage
Oh God, that makes campfire essentially useless.
I mean, it is definitely doable, of course, just completely disincentivizing using the campfire feels bad from a design perspective.
You sell 4 cards and find paintbrush voucher or juggler or smth along those lines

The point of a challenge like this is to teach a player that this joker, which they're probably used to passing on, is actually decent.
Campfire is one of the most underrated jokers in my opinion
15 minute city showed me how to use ride the bus properly
It is pretty good yeah, if you have the econ to support it.
Maybe have all sell values set to $0, ban gift card, egg, swash, and temp.
That's a much more reasonable nerf.
Tbh The cartomancer + campfire combo seems interesting enough, no need for anything else, the duality of it (one works for selling, the other one works for using) seems interesting enough, although I could see adding a rule that replaces all planets with tarots so that decision making with sell/use tarot happens more often
Although this could be skipped by having a free joker slot and buy/selling jokers
Ah ok what if instead of vouchers or that planet replacing thing I mentioned, the special effect was that jokers get destroyed when sold (so they don't proc campfire)

Destroyed part is important so campfire doesn't trigger
So that players can't farm off the free joker tags
Only consumables can trigger campfire

Issue I see now is that might cause players to want to ignore campfire and go 4 joker slots (cartomancer is solid for white stake)
Optimal play would still be campfire imo so it might be fine

The challenge part is that you have to balance between enhancing your deck and feeding Campfire through cartomancer
If you choose to feed Campfire your deck would be very weak and wouldn't give any extra benefits
If you choose to enhance your deck, Campfire wouldn't be fed and you lose precious mult
It's all about a balance
Then they should probably be added to the banned card list.
This seems like it's just regular balatro but you start with 2 great jokers, which isn't very challenging
15 Minute City is kind of similar, but that at least modifies your deck to make using Ride The Bus more challenging
It's a cool idea, but I think it could be made more difficult
I think that consumables should be 2x expensive
Jokers don't have to be as expensive because they get destroyed
This is a fun idea
