Infcognan is just one of those mods where I'm just adding whatever I want and just rolling with it. There could be the occasional updates for it, but for the most part, this thread is just for sharing some neat Joker/Consumable/whatever else art that would most likely make it into the thing. I'm also open for some ideas relating to what I share here! I will share the mod once I feel it's alright enough in its content.

The Boiler
Can pump steam to either the left or right Joker depending on the chosen direction. Certain Jokers may retrieve additional abilities or bonuses if powered by this Joker. Does not do anything if the direction is up.
I could see this Boiler Joker quickly becoming a Uncommon or Rare depending on the Jokers I add lmao
The Freezer
Freezes your money. You can no longer gain or lose money. If a Furnace Joker is owned or your scoring catches on fire, this Joker will thaw.
this one joker im demostrating here is prolly gunna be one of the most complex things ive implemented for this mod lmao
like, the boiler sounds so simple on paper, but it's going to be very complex to come up with some additional abilities that would make some meh jokers into powerhouses lmao

each of these consumables gives any 2 cards the blessings of a certain room type (aka giving them a sticker)
So, a card could behave like a Bedroom or a Hallway

something i noticed those jokers' mechanics are primarily tied to the mod itself
and btw, the Freezer's already implemented. it basically prevents you from losing or gaining money, but it also means you can't buy from the shop or reroll (unless those rerolls were made free)
if you have that and the furnace joker, the former will just delete itself
in which case, id probably suggest a config option to make it so only jokers from your mod can spawn lol

Applies Showman effect. 1 in 5 chance per Reroll that an already owned Joker shows up in the shop.

hell, i could have the effect apply to consumables as well
so for each reroll, it rolls a chance and if it hits, it randomly picks from the Jokers or the Consumables (or it'll just pick from Jokers if there isnt any consumables), and forces it into the next set of cards in the shop
It's going to be interesting to see how ||Conservatory|| is gunna be implemented lmfao
not to mention all the shit you could get from the ||Mount Holly Gift Shop||

If possible, take $1 and have 1 in 2 chance to generate a negative Planet card for your most played hand at the start of a new blind. Generate one for your least played hand otherwise.

You'd need the Rumpus Room Joker, which gives you $8 at the end of the blind. Then with the Joker in hand, search for a Soul Spectral

An unique Suit card that cannot be changed. If a blind is beaten when held in hand, trigger a Binvasion.

1 in 6 chance to destroy a random card in your hand. If it does so, add 2 Binvader Minion cards to your Deck. ||
I just did a huge refactor of my mod and now I can sort my content based on game origin, and even be able to toggle on and off certain catergories
this might be pretty sweet for those trying to avoid spoilers for certain games and whatnot :)

I simply want to have an additional box of text in the joker hover UI that only shows up when a Joker has a certain ability enabled (in this case, when the Boiler Joker is giving its steam power).

r u sure you need it, if its not really dynamic then you can just change the loc key in loc_vars
I just think it'd be nicer looking if the steam-enabled ability had its own separated top description, just in case it somehow gets lengthy to explain
on top of that, i want this ability to be stacked with the original ability. if i had the steam power running into a joker and have its ability entirely replaced, i'd want to program in a different joker to have that different ability
oh yeah, having the additional ability be put in a separate description box really helps seperate what is the base ability and what is the extra

SMODS allows multiboxes but I don’t know if it allows contextual multiboxes
I've already looked into the code for this mod but couldn't really make much sense of it, which is not good if you wanting to just implement just one part for one mechanic and keeping it simple
hence why i asked @icy charm in the first place

the implementation i wanna make should not be as complex as bepi's because it's simply not needed
its just one mechanic vs something that encompasses the entire ui system
I mean the issue is that AFAIK it would need to apply to any card’s UI
