Observatory sucks. Practically? At most you can only have three of the same planet, and you’d need 3 fools, showman, blue seals, or Perkeo. Showman isn’t worth grabbing, blue seals only can be found in spectrals which by themselves are pretty rare, so Fools are the only practical way to get them. Perkeo is the only way to make Observatory actually useful, but you need to make plenty of copies to keep up with the fast scaling scores of free play and Perkeo is a rare card. I propose the voucher is changed, or at least make it more worth. My idea is to instead make it so Planets are more effective. Either adding more mult and chips or each planet used multiplies that hand’s chips and mult by 1.5X. Ideas are up for discussion, but it’s no debate it needs to be changed.

you can also get blue seals from standard packs and they're like the first thing you want to look for when you have good economy in gold stake runs
even without any consumable slot modifiers, 2.25x mult is a high enough amount to save you from tricky boss blinds
Observatory is useful if you’re in a pinch for more X mult and no other option is available. I’ve had it save some runs for me. It’s not a bad voucher by any means. I’m not opposed to it getting a buff though.
Yeah, even just 1.5x mult for free is significant late game
fix illusion voucher first tbh
that's happening atleast
Well, it's difficult to use observatory without Perkeo because you'll almost always want to use those slots for tarot cards instead. Not being able to deck fix during a blind is a big loss.
Maybe if there were another way to generate negative planet cards?
I don't see this being workable tho
0.3% chance of any consumable being spawned as negative in the shop lol
it depends on what tarot cards you find
a 2x is gonna be better than most tarots as an emergency "kill this boss instantly" button anyways
True, I was more thinking about long term and scaling. If you are in a situation where you have to use your observatory, then you're not improving your deck. You can only do one or the other.
