Reset profile occasionally does not reset collection

I’ve been attempting a challenge run that requires me to reset my profile when I fail it, and as the title says, rarely when I use the option to reset my profile, it will do the animation but not actually clear my completion progress at all. For a while I wasn’t sure if I was just imagining it or if I was doing something wrong, but this time I’m sure it was the app malfunctioning.
