Current wording: "+3 discards, -1 hand size"
Proposed rework: "Gain +3 discards and lose 1 hand size upon selecting blind"
Changes: Allows the joker to counteract The Water, useful for discard-reliant builds. Gives the joker copy compatibility, as with Burglar, and allows it to be used alongside Burglar as an actual synergy. Allows for the downside to not interfere with card draws in arcana and spectral packs.

i like the buff although the wording does seem a bit confusing since "lose 1 hand size upon selecting the blind" kind of implies your hand size continually gets lower and lower
not sure what else you would say tho
Burglar has the same confusion
hands are something that explicitly reset at end of round anyway regardless of jokers

Hand size doesn't reset automatically so it would have to be an "until round ends" kind of effect
To specify hand size going back to normal
so this would allow players to end their runs with like 8 blueprints? (Because blueprint would replicate the -1 hand size and going to 0 ends the run)
this could def work
yes but you could already do that with 8 merry andies so thats not really relevant
Besides, past a certain point the reduced hand size begins to outweigh the increased amount of discards
