New Joker: Bogdonoff (Legendary)

Effect: Lose $3 at end of round, X0.5 Mult for every dollar under $0(Currently X1 Mult)

Inspired by Jesse Bogdonoff, a much more modern(1999) jester of Taufa'ahau Tupou IV, the king of Tonga. He was also the Tongan government's financial adviser, but got caught in a scandal when he suggested moving their wealth out of the stock market and into viatical contracts. The owner of the company that managed these contracts ended up stealing millions of Tonga's money, and filed false accounting statements to cover it up.

Jesse Bogdonoff was also born on April 1, 1955, meaning he was born an April Fool, lol.

Extremely fast scaling at the cost of tanking your own econ, rental synergy(!?!?), and works really well once your build is already set

The only other joker I can think of that has rental synergy is Campfire (which, coincidentally, is also a powerful scaling xmult)

I like it in concept, but i feel like there are some issues, with end of round money making the mult go down, and unless you have credit card, you can’t spend more money.

Yes, but you have to be aware of the context that the niche its filling isn't a joker that gets you score, it's a joker that does an effect. Other effect jokers also don't give you score directly. Like, is chicot significantly better than Vagabond? I'd argue that it definitely is. So it's not a Rare.

I think Perkeo vs Chicot is a fair comparison since neither of them directly score, but something like Chicot vs Yorrick isn’t

It’s like asking which is better: Ride The Bus or Rebate? They’re both commons but that’s where comparisons end

While the idea is cool, it requires sacrificing a decently large part of the game, being your economy

It requires going negative. Not just losing money, but actively having nothing to spend, which is unfun since it basically means no pivoting or changing your build

It is also possible to do the following: any time you would gain $ you gain xmult instead, but you do not lose any money, so you just have however much money remaining to do anything interesting with. You'll want to keep at least interest cap for the bonus to money and maybe Hermits (if you also have a tarot generator).
