In all in jest rerolling an eternal joker works and removes the seal

Since death changes what the card once was, let's say an eternal ace of spades, into the right card, a non eternal King of Hearts.

Eternal never specifies the card cannot be transformed
In the letter of the law, death should work. But its hard to say if thats what localthunk would intend because transforming an eternal card isnt possible so he didnt need to clarify
