I opened my game this morning and all of my saved data has now disappeared. I play on both my laptop and my desktop and this appears on both. Unsure of how to fix, I had nearly 100 hours played.

@tight oriole @tulip valley did yall have steammodded installed and did you have steam cloud saves on? trying to see if there's something in common with our setups that could be causing such a thing

I wasn't able to resolve it unfortunately (and here's the biggest problem)
For some reason, Balatro appears to only take 3 unique snapshots to save anything to the cloud
Therefore, as soon as you attempt to load the game, it's already overwritten the previous save.
I reached out to steam support and they basically said that they have 0 additional support they can provide because they would rely on the cloud saves as well
The fix would be -- Balatro having a larger cloud save space.
I don't know what the root cause was, but it's impossible to recover from (as far as I can see)
p.s. sorry for your loss. I had 300 hours wiped. Feels real bad.

i'd also like to add: in the recent time before getting my save stuff wiped, my computer was near full disk space, and i was troubleshooting it a lot and there's a chance that maybe balatro tried to do some cloud sync malarkey while the computer's disk space was full.
can any of yall corroborate that you might have been having near full disk space or other hard drive issues when your save was wiped?

I've been playing Blastro for 2 days offline (been traveling) and having a blast. Today when I connected to the internet, the game "loads" the cloud save and set everything back to 0. It was really a bummer.
Found a lot of similar posts on reddit. I'm going to see if this will prevent it from happening.

that is some most usefull info ive read, i had my profile wiped aswell (ive tried to acomplish completionist++) and im searching for answers but cant find any and you typing that your disc is full gave me an answer bcs i fave full disk too and only i got my profile wiped, my friends game works perfectly fine
