The run got off to a fast start with Double Tag Skip + Investment Tag Skip for a quick $50. Between Ante 2 and Ante 3 I found Vampire, eternal Pareidolia, Reserved Parking with holographic, eternal Smiley Face, and Faceless Joker. Then an Ante 3 Round 5 tarot pack had a Canio.
Easy Canio scaling? Not quite. Lady Luck was laughing in my face. I couldn't get Canio scaled past 3x until after winning Ante 8. Not a single Hanged Man card could be found until Endless even with some moderately aggressive re-rolling and many Emperor tarot rolls. Glass cards were similarly hard to discover, and only two of them broke prior to Endless.
I removed Vampire to pick up a Splash with holographic because I needed some sort of +Mult and thought I'd get Canio overpowered soon enough. Not quite. I'm not sure what else I could have pivoted to since the Tarot packs seemed to have an abnormal amount of Chariot and Death cards. This was the key to survival as I copied a Red Tag Steel 10 of Hearts many times.
Other interesting ironies:
- holographic Ride The Bus on Ante 3 Round 7 shop.
- Ante 6 Round 15 shop had another legendary in a Tarot pack.
I probably could have been more aggressive and picked up that Legendary instead of Splash, but I just wanted to the win after how frustrating this "lucky" run was. Maybe a Balatro explorer can do some exploration on how to make this seed overpowered.
Oh and one last thing: not a single bad Boss Blind for Pareidolia. Never saw The Plant or The Mark.
