wording could be better
yea fair enough
if i play a pair of twos will they just retrigger each other infinitely
nah the wording isn't "when a played 2 scores, adjacent cards are retriggered"
oh nvm im blind
wait but now if i have two adjacent twos in hand, will they retrigger each other infinitely
same answer
it's not "on scoring a 2, retrigger" it just detects if the adjacent cards are 2's and will retrigger once for every adjacent 2
what you're describing is if a card was retriggered when an adjacent 2 is scored
ah ok i understand now
the wording is slightly different but has a big impact
also ngl this should probably be an uncommon because with proper setup this is better than all other retrigger jokers
if you have a 5oak of 2's, the rightmost and leftmost 2's are triggered one additional time while the inner 2'd are all retriggered twice
it is nearly 2x better than sock and buskin or hack once set up
no they will each retrigger once?
so a hand of 5 twos gives 8 retriggers
also, i would like to know, does the number 2 in this case have any specific reason for being chosen?
i just want to know because i think moving the trigger number (2) to something else could be beneficial balance wise. right now you can fairly easily retrigger cards that are either face cards or low number cards (K-J, 5-2), but there are none for 10-6 and aces, so they're less wanted in a run. some of them still have uses, being 6, 8, 9, 10, and aces (even if they have varying usefulness) but 7 specifically doesn't have anything going for it, so possibly changing it to 7 would be interesting
just if the 2 has no meaning though
yeah
again why i think it should be changed to uncommon
a subwoofer is a speaker that specifically emits the lowest frequencies that humans can hear, hence i chose the lowest value card
Fun retrigger idea, I agree with this tho
Ehh
It is limited to 1 rank
"retrigger all played cards adjacent to a 2"
Could this one be clearer?
Can even remove the "played" part to make It work with held in hand effects
That would be very broken tho
then it wouldnt be a common
i was gonna upgrade it too uncommon anyways but still
Oh yeah it'd be too broken
