ERIEP61B - Ante 1 Yorick in Arcana Pack then Smiley Face, Hanging Chad, PhotoChad, Hologram, neg DNA

Yellow Deck, Gold Stake. First Shop had an Arcana Pack with Yorick inside. Also had the money to get a Hieroglyph voucher soon after to build Yorick with discards. Next pickup was an eternal Smiley Face to give some +Mult to work with. The run was pretty set from that point, never encountered a Boss Blind that disabled Face Cards during Ante 1-8.

Found Hanging Chad next, then eternal Photograph to get PhotoChad running. Soon found a Hologram for extra X-Mult. Sometime prior to Ante 7 there was a Negative Skip Tag that I took since the run was so powerful. This lead to a Negative DNA, which fed Hologram each Round. Mostly copied a Steel 9 Of Clubs with DNA and used Photo Chad and High Card plays to easily clear Ante 8.

One last bit of interest was ANOTHER Legendary card in an Arcana pack during Ante 7. Since Gold Stake had me pick up eternal Smiley Face and eternal Photograph I didn't want to kill Hanging Chad, Yorick or Hologram to see what Legendary was inside.

It occurred to me after about Ante 10 or 11 that my Joker placement was suboptimal. Smilely Face should be to the left of Photograph to get the most efficient Mult. That's how strong the run was.

Yorick 16x, scaled slowly due to a lack of Discard vouchers until about Ante 11-13

Hologram 20.25x due to a relatively early Magic Trick voucher midgame, sometime before Ante 8

High Card level 35 mainly from Blue Tag steel cards being duplicated by DNA

Spent most of DNA's midgame use on duplicating Steel 9 Of Clubs, never saw a Red Tag or a Polychrome card from any spectral or playing card packs. And saw very very few Glass Card tarot cards throughout the run despite popping any and all Tarot Packs.

Vouchers were a suboptimal spread. A Telescope might have helped keep the High Card upgrade ahead of the curve for a while longer. Also never got any Hand Size or Hand vouchers, which hurt a bit as an early Hieroglyph reduced overall Hands. And Hand Size would have benefited the Steel Card strategy and allowed for more discarding of junk cards for Yorik. It even took until Endless to find some Discards upgrade vouchers. But a relatively early Clearance Sale and Magic Trick allowed for feeding Hologram.

Not bad for a cakewalk through Ante 8 on gold stake, and some fun seeing how far into endless this setup could go.

I've been focusing on Deck Stake Wins the past few months. Currently at 86/120 progress. The past few weeks I was eating absolute doo doo on unseeded runs, couldn't get a 1st Win on anything for what felt like forever. And I'm talking not even being able to 1st Time Clear on Blue, Purple, and Orange stake on all sorts of random decks that weren't my favorite, much less Gold Stake.

Past few days I hit a hot streak and had recently gotten Gold Stake on Red Deck and Anaglyph Deck. This was my first Yellow Deck clear on Gold, with the added bonus that I have my gold tag on Yorick now. Phew.

I will also mention that in this seed I encountered Invisible Joker naturally in the shop twice without tons of Rerolls or Showman. I believe I saw Invisible Joker the first time no earlier than Ante 8 and onward. But with some very specific choices I think it would be possible to duplicate one of the very overpowered cards, or even some of the two other legendaries found in Ante 7 and Ante 9. Eternal Photograph was very hard to pass up when it was found midgame, but I bet there are strategies to bypass the early eternal Smiley Face and stay alive so that its Joker Slot is available later in the game.
