#more options for wild cards

wild cards sound very fun in theory, but i feel that they're lacking, there should be etheir, 1. more powerful jokers that play with suits, 2. an easier way to get wild cards or 3. make wild card not a card modifier, but a simple buff that can be applicable to all cards.

on the first point, i imagine first, buffing the flower pot, directly to x4 mult, or making it exponential, so for each suit played in one hand, you get x1 mult (or maybe x1.25 mult) something like this: playing a hand with only hearts will give you no extra bonus (x1 mult), playing a hand with hearts and spades, will give you x2 mult , a hand with hearts, spades and clubs x3 mult and playing the 4 suits will give you x4 mult, this makes flower pot more reliable, and a single wild card can actually make a difference.

some joker ideas i thought of are:

  • pantone card (common): each scored numbered card has a 1 in 5 chance of becoming a wild card (this joker feeds on the second point)
  • Der kuss or the kiss (uncommon): gives x0.1 mult for each wild card in your deck
  • Prism (rare): wild cards can play the effect of one random Gem card (rough gem, bloodstone, arrowhead, onyx agate) the effect applies the same if you already have a Gem card

on the second point, apart from the pantone card joker, maybe the lovers should enchance 2 or 3 cards instead of 1

on the third point, i feel like this is the most boring but most plausible, theres no need to add new jokers doing this, and maybe its the easiest to do, maybe not, i dont make videogames

For the jokers specifically, pantone card sounds interesting, and it synergizes with flushes since you are playing 5 cards at once

Das Kuss could work conceptually, but I think that X0.01 is incredibly weak, even with the existence of Pantone Card

For example, Steel Joker gains X0.2 for every Steel Card, and even though those would be a bit harder to get a lot of, they also have much better utility on their own already

Prisma just feels kind of... weak? Like I'd rather just have the gem card than have a chance to activate a random one with Prisma

It also feels like it would need to be excessively wordy, since "Gem Cards" aren't something regularly referred to in-game

Prism feels somewhat non-vanilla to me. That's not a bad thing and it's a great idea nonetheless.

Prism also feels bad ngl, a 1/2 chance to trigger one of 4 effects when an Ancient Joker would get you a 1.5x every time with wilds

btw, if "Das Kuss" is supposed to be german for "The Kiss" then it should be "Der Kuss"
