Showman - Seed Analyzer Mod

Hey all, I've been working on a seed analyzer mod that allows you to view the contents of the shop (for any given ante) ahead of time, similar to the capabilities of The Soul.

This mod is only intended to be used for min-max runs where tools like this are allowed. This is not intended to be used for single-player runs to cheat; however, if that's how you choose to use it, that's okay too!

(Though this is not acceptable in the Balatro Multiplayer ranked modes, know that this mod is blacklisted from there as I preemptively spoke about it to them)

This mod is still in earlier stages of development and I can do a lot more, so I will update here as I continue to work on it.

Thoughts, comments, concerns, cookies, conundrums, and crashes/bugs reports are greatly appreciated. (@ me)

Here are some screenshots of me using it in a random game
(Be warned, the game will lag for a second if you choose the 10,000 option)

As you can see, the mod does show editions and even the stickers on the cards themselves (if applicable).

It's also worth noting that the mod only shows future shop items and picks up from whenever you are currently in the shop (while not showing the items currently in the shop)

My next planned feature is a way to search for a joker and it show all copies of it (by going to the page perhaps? maybe more information than that?) in that queue. I drafted up an image of a potential implementation of this with UI elements on the main screen, if curious let me know. It would essentially let you pin a joker (and its search) so the side [which can be hidden with a toggle].

one suggestion I have is to add Multiplayer as a conflicting mod to prevent people from using future versions with Multiplayer

This mod does not properly work with Multiplayer regardless, given that you have The Order enabled (which is required for ranked play); nonetheless, that is a great suggestion and I will definitely do that!

Currently working on the search feature for the shop :)

I'm hoping to support just typing in a string and any/all jokers that contain that string pop up somehow and show where it is in the queue. This in theory supports editions as well!

Could you run me through how you got this crash? I don't think I can replicate it. Maybe its the more recent steammodded version? The mod does not require steammodded that's the thing. Though I still don't get a crash when I launch it with the version I've been using (530b)

(Not to mention I can't even find a download for version 706c)

I tried the 5 most recent steamodded versions + the code version, crashed immediately upon launch on each one. Not sure, but it's working perfectly for me now with the zip I sent so I wouldn't worry about it, seems like im the only one that was crashing

I do have other mods but that wasn't causing it, that zip I sent changes the folder name to just Showman, added a main.lua with mod_init for steamodded, and commented out the load(hash.lua) line in Showman.lua

You must have grabbed the version that I had accidentally uploaded for a short period of time then, because the most recent version doesn't have the part about the hash (that was an oopsie! I was testing something else for something) and also has the directory just named Showman.

I'm not sure why the source code version didn't update when I reuploaded the file tbh. You can clearly see the difference in the times for the source and the rar.

(This tells me though that I should just make them zips in the future!)

why i don't have the showman menu

i only see this

It is in the settings menu @clever raptor

It has its own tab within there

I'm planning on adding a key bind to open said menu with the next release
