Chicot is the only legendary that doesn't directly affect your game plan. But it does make it quite comfortable since you never have to worry about a boss blind wrecking your run.

Mark is less bad because you can still use the cards and get the points if you guess correctly what the card is. The plant won't give you anything for playing the face cards
