winmore
shush it funny
winmore
winmore
Requiring a blind one-shot is winmore, yeah sure:
Antes 1-4
5 card hands
Inconsistent builds
Glass cards
Food jokers
Perishables
Boss blinds
Antes having exponential scaling
What is winmore
Winmore is a classification of a joker as useless in ante 8 runs because the effect and/or trigger makes it only useful when you are already winning, thus the phrase "winmore". It won't help you win the game, it will only help you get an even higher score than you need. It is in my opinion strongly overused in cases like this where people forget that ante scaling and temporary gains like popcorn and glass cards make a clear distinction between beating a blind in one hand and obtaining a build strong enough to win ante 8.
Interesting. Thanks.
I think early game winmores are okay
But this is a Rare
so you can't count on it early game
Yeah, I think it should be put down to 10 and then make it uncommon, or perhaps lower, like 8 and call it common. Perhaps it has some condition to show up, like maybe it's common, but it only shows up after Mr. Bones saves you or something like that. So it gets different theming obviously and then is like cavendish for Gros Michel. The idea would be that after getting saved by Mr. Bones you are probably struggling and this gives you something where you try to get popcorn or glass or something of the like to reach this and use its profits to keep on reaching it.
If it becomes a lower rarity I think it could also be made food so that it depreciates whenever you trigger it.
Honestly I think this would be fine for maybe $6 or $7 as a Common
The standard for Common econ Jokers is $4 per round, and you're losing $1 for the hand that doesn't score, so $6 or $7 seems okay
$8 might be a bit much though
What if it was uncommon and high, like 20 but it didn't just make the hand not score, it also gave some sort of lasting disadvantage like debuffing all the cards in that hand?
Though while we are on the topic of "win more" jokers, what about one that gave you ×mult proportionally to the amount you topped the score requirement of the last blind capped at ×3? It would be great for inconsistent runs like straight builds, Ancient joker and such.
