#The boiler (Uncommon)

really unbalanced, way too easy to scale
The mult resets after the hand
yea but with retrigger effects + blueprint/brainstorm you can get a lot of mult on this
Yuh
Sorta the point
Youd wanna use stuff like hanging chad
Or retriggers
Otherwise at most you just get unconditional 1.6x mult
I don’t think this is that unbalanced at first glance
Let’s say you have wrathful joker and the boiler
A spade flush would give the boiler 1.75x
This is benefits from jokers that trigger on card score more than anything
My problem is it seems really awkward and a bit winmore
Wait until you face a boss that disables certain cards or even the crimson heart cuz that is one very big weakness of this joker
i have a question for you
is ride the bus resetting considered a trigger?
when an uncommon gives x1.5 mult due to baseball card, does it count twice (since the uncommon is giving x1.5 mult due to baseball card, meaning 2 jokers are involved)?
are editions triggers?
is chicot disabling the boss a trigger?
what about gros michel going extinct?
as you can see "triggering" a joker isn't really well defined
Finally a good suggestion bro keep it up
You my number 1 hater or smth
Reset is not trigger (you didn't do the condition that triggers the joker to keep going)
Baseball triggers on a joker so only once
Editions are not jokers
Chicot is a trigger
Gros michel extinct is a trigger
I'm not the one this was directed at per se, but I might as well share my opinion on the matter.
- RtB reseting does not count.
- The way I see it, Baseball Card is the only one that triggers there. The uncommons are merely meeting the condition the card needs to trigger.
- Editions are their own scoring function with no tie to the jokers themselves.
- Disabling bosses is Chicot's sole purpose, so that counts as his trigger.
- No, all the banana is doing is announcing its deletion.
Feel free to argue with me
Gros michel has the +15 and the 1/6 to extinct component
The second one should also proc
the point isn't that it can't be defined, it's that the answer isn't obvious
Here's how I think of it: you know how glass cards give x2 mult and have a 1 in 4 chance to break? Would you consider a glass card breaking as it triggering? I don't, and I use the same logic on Gros Michel and Cavendish.
here more questions:
walkie talkie gives both chips and mult, does it count twice?
if bloodstone doesn't hit the 1 in 2 chance, does it still trigger? it had to roll the probability after all
is scaling a trigger?
Gros michel extinct at end round
Debuff isn't exactly an obvious mechanic
Yeah and it needs more clarity too
Im giving it a
now
- Walkie talkie is one trigger, as both the chips and mult are given in the same instance the way I see it; they are visually given separately just for clarity.
- Bloodstone only truly triggers if it hits the 1 in 2. Absolutely nothing happens if it fails, so there's really no counterargument.
- No. The popup is just a visual indicator that the joker gives more now. The joker even scales IMMEDIATELY after its condition is met, so that just reiterates the little dance and popup are just visual aids.
Again, feel free to disagree with me
the boiler is the cat
