Jade cards gain 1$ for every hand they aren't played in; when triggered, they will give back that amount of money

To transform regular cards into Jade cards, you need a new tarot card; The Pentacle

Obsidian cards have a 1 in 3 chance to weather into a card of a lesser rank (i.e. An Obsidian Ace will weather into an Obsidian King, and so on)

To transform regular cards into Obsidian cards you need another new tarot card; The Sword

Why do these need strange probabilities

I'm thinking of redoing the tarots, like how the pentacle represents material wealth

#

I feel like it would be more suited for jade cards

also i'm just . Not a fan of how similar to preexisting enhancements/mechanics there are

#

jade is just glass with a bit of probablity and there are plenty of retrigger options already

ah

#

jade cards gain 1$ for every hand not played, gain that amount when played in the winning hand

#

how's that for a change?

#

it adds another opportunity for econ

#

still a bit janky imo but def a cooler idea

#

obsidian cards have also been reworked to break into two cards of ranks that make up the former

#

however if that card cannot be divided it breaks entirely

#

NO WAIT

#

it weathers

#

still an issue of the fact that new tarot cards break theming

hollow comet
#

they're only part of the minor arcana

#

pentacles, swords, cups, and wands

#

for cups I'm thinking of Cloudy cards

they only go as low as 2 however, no recycling

#

I'm undecided on if they remain obsidian after reaching their lowest rank
